Now I have some 4 ton bulk creep feeders out for calves, and I knew I could find a big hog around one of em. Sure enough, the first one we checked.....................a big smelly boar was having a midnight snack. The wind was howling while we made our stalk. We were almost in range and ol big boy decided he wanted to go over to the pond for a drink.
We watched him walk plum out of sight, behind the dam. So we skirted the pond until we had a visual. The booger was laying down wallowing in the mud. I got Kendall set up on the shooting stick @ 40 yards and told him to squeeze one off on his neck. Now I was prepared to back him up and I had the .243wssm holding on his ear. Kendall fired and Ol Big never flenched.
I walked back and got the Ranger Crew and the rest of the b-day party and drove over and pulled him out of the pond. Then it was picture time, here are a couple, see what ya'll think.
