Looking forward to meeting some folks and reading the stories!
We've been in VA for nearly 3 years; moved up from SC and have been hunting and fishing all my life. Would like to join a deer/turkey hunting club in goochland, Louisa or Hanover counties if anyone could point me in the right direction... something fairly close to where I live here in Henrico. Back home, I had many venues for hunting since I grew up there and knew everyone.. It's difficult setting up in a new place and trying to meet the right people.
Fishing... well I can do that just about anywhere and added a Cedar Ridge canoe (Angler Model http://crcfiberglass.com/cranberrycreekcanoes.aspx) to my arsenal this year to fish some of these rivers here in Central VA.. I grew up fishing the Santee Cooper lake system in SC and wasn't equiped for some of the rivers aournd here. Having a great time exploring the fisheries here in VA!
