Wednesday July 1 2009. Local lake. 2lbs, 15.5" long, 2.15" thick crappie. Caught on a small minnow using a light action spinning outfit. I thought at first it was a bass! A lot of fun getting it to the boat.

We did some Iowa farm pond fishing last night. Caught quite a few largemouth bass and some bluegills. Also caught some green sunfish that had some size to them, and they were real colorful.
If anyone's interested, I made a journal entry about it at http://wanderingowloutside.blogspot.com/

Fished a special regulation trout stream today. Caught 4 browns and 1 rainbow. 3 of the fish were 14 inches or more. Blog and photos at http://wanderingowloutside.blogspot.com/
