We are in the process of planning our 9th. annual catfish tournament at Staunton River State Park picinic shelter # 2 on June 5, 2010. We are waiting on getting the applications approved to have it. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. at picnic shelter # 2. Captains meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at picnic shelter # 2. $50.00 boat registration fee. Optional $10.00 big fish fee. Optional 5 minute - 5 boats - head start $5.00. Fish from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.. 70% payback. 40% 1st. place, 20% 2nd. place, and 10% 3rd. place. All fish must be alive at time of weighing and able to swim off on their own. They will be weighed and released. All fish must be caught on rod & reel. There will be food, 50/50 tickets, raffle tickets, and tee shirts for sale. All proceeds will go to the Fire Dept. to help purchase a new brush truck and supplies. This is our big tourney and we will have alot of really nice raffle prizes!!! Please pass the word along and come out to support us!
