“Stand in the Sand III”
BBQ Fundraiser”
Friday, June 25
12:00 noon until Dark
Fessenden Center, Buxton
The OBPA (Outer Banks Preservation Association) is gearing up for its third
annual “Stand in the Sand” fundraiser scheduled for Friday, June 25 from noon
until dark at the Fessenden Center in Buxton, North Carolina.
Just like the two previous events, the fundraiser will sell pork and chicken
barbeque dinners, and will also feature guest speakers, music, silent auction, 50/50
raffle, beach access information booths, play area for children and several local
artists.
Stand in the Sand is one of OBPA’s largest fundraisers of the year. All money
raised goes to pay legal challenges for maintaining reasonable beach access. This
fundraiser is always a fun-filled day for the entire community and a way everyone
can be a part of preserving our beach heritage in the Cape Hatteras National
Seashore Recreational Area....http://www.preservebeachaccess.org/news ... _three.pdf
